Although it’s not my primary business — web design and development — I do have the privilege of being able to design logos for some of my clients.
The process is interesting, in that usually I deal with things such as “primary message” and “target audience” when putting together a web design, and with logos I have to instead think in terms of overall company/organization history and intention.
I’m quite proud of this logo I designed for Home Delivery Management a couple years back:
The concept was that Home Del (their commonly used short-phrase) was in the business of connecting businesses and people, and they definitely were “green” (in terms of products — often produce — and philosophy.)
